Event Description:
We invite all San Ramon Valley community members to attend this special Town Hall at the San Ramon Community Center on Friday, February 27 where you will hear from Dr. Angie Lux, a seismologist and Project Scientist at the Berkeley Seismology Lab who specializes in earthquake early warning systems and Chief Jonas Aguiar, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District and the valley's elected officials.
There have been approximately 100 earthquakes in San Ramon in just the last 30 days? Earthquakes can happen without warning.
Be prepared
🟢 BEFORE
• Make a family emergency plan
• Build a go-kit (water, food, flashlight, meds)
• Secure heavy furniture and items
• Practice Drop, Cover, Hold On
🟡 DURING
• Drop to the ground
• Cover your head and neck
• Hold On until shaking stops
• Stay away from windows
• If outside, move to an open area
🔵 AFTER
• Expect aftershocks
• Check for injuries and hazards
• Leave damaged buildings
